Rotherwood Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Nursing Home Manager on behalf of a well-established care provider in Keighley.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven leader to take overall responsibility for the management of a nursing home, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, person-centred care while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and clinical excellence.
You will lead and inspire a dedicated team, build strong relationships with residents and their families, and create a positive culture focused on dignity, compassion and continuous improvement.
The Role
As the Nursing Home Manager, you will be responsible for the operational and clinical leadership of the service. You will oversee all aspects of the home's performance, including care quality, regulatory compliance, staffing, financial management and service development.
Working closely with senior management and the wider care team, you will ensure the home continues to provide outstanding care while meeting and exceeding CQC standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the nursing home.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred care.
- Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
- Drive continuous improvement and support the service through inspections and quality reviews.
- Lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team.
- Oversee recruitment, staffing levels, training and workforce planning.
- Manage budgets, resources and operational performance effectively.
- Monitor clinical governance, quality assurance and risk management processes.
- Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed and reflect residents' individual needs and preferences.
- Promote a positive culture focused on dignity, respect, choice and independence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and infection prevention procedures are fully implemented.
- Identify opportunities for service development and improve resident outcomes.
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience managing or deputising within a nursing home environment.
- Proven experience achieving and maintaining strong CQC compliance.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience managing budgets, occupancy and operational performance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding, person-centred care.
- Enhanced DBS and satisfactory employment references.
Desirable Requirements:
- NMC Registration (RGN, RMN or RNLD).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care / Adult Care or willingness to work towards.
