Rotherwood Cares is currently recruiting experienced Senior Care Assistants to join a well-established dementia and elderly care service in Lancaster.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant looking for regular ongoing work with the flexibility of a casual contract. We have a variety of day and night shifts available, allowing you to work consistent hours within a supportive and caring environment.
You will play a key role in supporting elderly residents, including those living with dementia and complex care needs, ensuring they receive the highest standards of person-centred care and support.
Due to increased demand, we are looking for reliable and experienced Senior Care Assistants who are passionate about improving residents’ quality of life and delivering exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to elderly residents
- Supporting residents living with dementia and complex care needs
- Assisting with personal care and daily living activities while promoting dignity, choice, and independence
- Leading and supporting care teams during shifts
- Completing care records, daily notes, and documentation accurately
- Supporting with medication administration where trained and authorised
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
- Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety, and infection prevention procedures are followed
- Supporting junior care staff and acting as a positive role model
About You
We are looking for Senior Care Assistants who have:
- Previous experience working within elderly care, dementia care, or a similar environment
- Experience working at Senior Care Assistant level
- A strong understanding of person-centred care and supporting individual needs
- The ability to guide and support other members of the care team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, reliable, and professional approach
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of care at all times
What We Offer
- £15.00 per hour
- 25–40 hours per week available
- Flexible casual contract
- Regular ongoing shifts available
- Day and night shifts available
